Founded in 1978 and proudly run by the second generation of the same family, we’ve grown from a local service into one of London’s most trusted names in commercial laundry. What hasn’t changed is our belief that great service starts with genuine care.

Recognition for outstanding career
As highlighted by La Voz de Galicia (Spanish newspaper), Galicia Laundry’s story is rooted in the entrepreneurial journey of our co-founder, Antonio Carreira Castro, who arrived in London in June 1970 and went on to establish an industrial laundry in 1975 after identifying a clear need in the hospitality sector for the washing and rental of table linen, uniforms, sheets and towels. What began as a small, determined venture has since grown into a business employing around 75 people—still driven by the same work ethic, resilience and commitment to service that shaped its earliest days.
Lifetime Achievement Award
We are delighted to share that Gina Goodall, a valued member of our commercial team, has been recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Laundry and Drycleaning Awards (LADAs) 2025, where she was named the 2025 recipient of this honour. The awards ceremony took place at The Belfry Hotel & Resort on Thursday, 13 November 2025, bringing the industry together to celebrate outstanding contribution and excellence across textile care. Gina received the award on the night at the gala ceremony, accompanied by David Budino our Managing Director—a proud moment for our entire team.
